Message from the Chair

I was pleased to accept the role as Chair in March 2022 and on behalf of members wish to thank Hugh Chalmers for his outstanding contribution as Chair for more than 6 years.

The Council is currently focusing on advocating for more accessible properties in the ACT which incorporate universal design and creating employment opportunities for people with disability. I am passionate about assisting young people with disability, particularly neurodivergent people, to find meaningful employment.

I look forward to once again being able to celebrate the ACT Chief Minister’s Inclusion Awards on 6 December 2023. I encourage everyone to think about nominating people with disability who are leaders in our community for an Inclusion Award, or nominate an individual, business or organisation who are going above and beyond their core business to be inclusive.
